What is a relic?
Relics are part of the logic of the Incarnation, of concrete history. They are a sign of the presence of a Saint in history.
- Monsignor Slawomir Oder
When we touch the body of a saint we touch the temple of the Holy Spirit, when we touch an object that belongs to a Saint we touch a moment of the presence of grace and God’s mercy in the life of that person.
- Monsignor Marco Frisina
If anyone would know where are other bone relics of Kateri Tekakwitha, please let me know and the list will be revised. E-Mail: diego.paoletti@sympatico.ca
It has been known that in the past, bone relics of Kateri Tekakwitha were distributed to individual persons and presently some still have in these relics in their possession. These precious relics perhaps should be placed in Churches, especially in the Churches that have her name. This would be to avoid the sacrilege of her relics. These are precious relics of which cures are obtained when they are properly applied, and this alone justifies that these relics should be only placed where is our Lord.

Concerning relics from Saints:
“It was before her last confinement, and she had begged me for some kind of holy relic to support her, so I gave her this little bundle, which I saw shining and as though it had once been in contact with the Mother of God.”
– Blessed Sister Anna Katharina Emmerick
“I did not then know its exact contents, I only saw that it shone, that it was a holy relic and had been in contact with the Mother of God.”
– Blessed Sister Anna Katharina Emmerick
“They are shining: what treasures we possess, more valuable than a kingdom.”
– Blessed Sister Anna Katharina Emmerick
“Take care of that label! The relic shines; it is authentic!”
– Blessed Sister Anna Katharina Emmerick
